I think in the next Discord update the Discord Team should completely remove Two Factor Authentication from Discord so people can get their accounts back. Then when the team finds a way for the users to get their lost account back if it ever happens again, they can add it back without it connected to any authentication app so the users that want to use 2FA can continue to use it.
